According to the Daily Star, Delap wants to join a club playing in Europe next season, with Chelsea or Arsenal said to be his preferred destination. United have reportedly made it clear to the 22-year-old they want him but he is 'having doubts' about joining the Premier League giants.

Delap has a £30 million ($39.5m) release clause if Ipswich get relegated from the Premier League, with the Tractor Boys very likely to drop into the Championship. If these reports are to be believed, it is telling that one of the biggest clubs in the world, in United, cannot attract a player such as Delap.
