Rebekah Vardy has been ordered by a court to pay £100,000 to Coleen Rooney in the wake of the pair's infamous legal battle.

Rooney, the wife of ex-Manchester United star Wayne, won a legal case against Vardy, who is married to Leicester star Jamie, in 2022. After Rooney took to social media to accuse her of leaking private information to the press five years ago, Vardy sued for libel but ended up losing the case.

After the verdict was delivered, Vardy was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Rooney’s legal fees, with an initial payment of £800,000. However, the Leicester City forward's wife has then told by senior costs judge Andrew Gordon-Saker to provide an additional £100,000 within the next 21 days.
