According to , United and Arsenal are monitoring the 28-year-old's situation closely as Bayern want to retain the German international but want him to take a pay cut. The report adds Sane wants to stay put at the Bundesliga side but it remains to be seen if he will accept their offer.

Sky adds that Bayern also want to retain Joshua Kimmich and Manuel Neuer but they will also have to prepare for a possible salary cut, with Bayern sporting director Max Eberl aiming to reduce the wages of the current squad in 2025. The report adds that Sane will not leave in the January transfer window but the longer the negotiations go on, the more likely the ex-Manchester City man will leave on a free transfer next summer.
