Neville and Jamie Carragher were granted pitch-side access at Anfield hours before kick-off of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United. The ex-England stars were spotted using a shovel to scrape off chunks of snow from the pitch. While Carragher tried to remove the snow from the pitch, Neville did exactly the opposite.

On Saturday night, adverse weather in the north of England led to suggestions that the Reds' game with United could be postponed. On Sunday, authorities decided that the match would go ahead as planned.
